Services & Consulting
All services provided by L.T. Creations, LLC, as well as whatever time via telephone conversations or E-mail communication is necessary to resolve your issue(s), fall under this category. Perhaps you have a project demanding only a few hours of work, a small amount of maintenance, or would like to resolve a problem with a script in your site. For these services mandating only a few hours we are available at a standard rate of $55. per hour or we will bid your project at your request.
Start-up Business
For the small or "start-up" company working on a limited budget we offer an option of monthly payments. Depending upon the size of your project, L.T. Creations, LLC will offer a six-month (6 month) or twelve-month (12 month) "Agreement" (or longer depending on the project). Generally, even large projects take no longer than 3 months to complete. Small projects usually take from six (6) weeks to eight (8) weeks. If you wish to develop your site making monthly payments we require the first monthly payment in advance prior to commencing any services. All remaining payments must be paid on or before the first day of the month or we will cease all development until payments are current. Any payments late or unpaid may result in the interruption of your Web site availability on the Internet. Send us your project requirements and allow us to bid today.
What Will My Project Cost?
There is no way to know what your particular project will cost without the answers to a great many questions. Typically, if you have a small project and do not expect to make products or services available for sale, you should expect to pay $1,500. for your project. If you require only one content page and one page for contact, your cost may be slightly less, depending upon the design requirements. If your Web site will be many pages, regardless of how simple you "think" the Web site would be, there is a great deal of time and coding/programming necessary to create just one page. Creating many pages with all the changes necessary in addition to the copy you will provide to propagate the pages of your Web site is all very time consuming. Generally, an "average" Web site project mandates between 25 to 30 hours.
Attempting to find someone to develop your project cheaply will result in a..."cheap"...Web site. There is a rule of thumb for the person seeking a Web site developer. Only contract with a professional Web developer working as a Web developer "full-time". Does the developer you may be considering work full-time at Web development? Or are they working as a Web developer as a "side-job" while they work full-time at some other career? Would you hire a contractor who does contracting as a "side-job"? Would you hire a plumber who does plumbing as a "side-job"? No. You would be afraid of your construction project or plumbing project to have inherit problems for which you will pay dearly later. Make sure you hire a professional, full-time Web developer for your project. You will sleep well at night knowing your Web site is working for you as it should. Send us your project requirements and allow us to bid today.
E-Commerce / Database and CMS
E-Commerce, or more commonly known as electronic sales from a Web site, is far more complicated than simply designing and implementing a few pages for your project. Even if your project may have less than ten (10) pages, to develop a Web site with the ability to sell products will range greatly in cost. At a minimum you should expect to pay $2,000. The reason is simple. You are having a custom Web site developed in addition to requiring very specialized coding to create and use a shopping cart. The number of products you intend to sell will have a great deal of influence on the price or your project. Each product mandates a great deal more coding/programming in order for that product to be made available for purchase.
For a small business, $2,000. may seem like a great expense for selling only a couple of items/products. However, there is a large amount of time involved to design and implement your pages so that they are available to all browsers and operating systems. When specialized coding for selling products is implemented, there are many processes necessary in order to assure the components of your Web site work in all browsers and operating systems. There are alternatives to having a company like L.T. Creations, LLC develop your E-Commerce project, although not advisable. Many of the alternatives work with only certain browsers, or have proprietary coding that is either difficult or impossible to manage. These alternatives often require a specialized programmer to alter the coding in order to add a product or what may seem to be a simple change to your Web site. Hence, the cost is much greater than if you had opted to pay L.T. Creations, LLC to develop your project to your specifications. We develop something you can manage yourself, if you wish, or is inexpensive to make changes.
When should you consider a database with a content management system? When you know you will be making changes to your pages or products on a regular basis and wish to make the changes "in-house". Using a database and content management sytem is very cost effective. Within less than a year you will see a cost savings over "static pages" (pages that require a developer to make changes). Although incorporating a database is more costly initially, the savings comes from not having to hire a professional each time you wish to make a change to your Web site or product catalog. Please review our pricing for database and content management system implementation.
Every database project must have an intuitive, easy to use content management system (CMS) in order to use your database to its full potential. A CMS will allow you to create new pages, change existing pages, or delete unwanted pages in your Web site easily. If you spend the money to have a quality database and CMS for your Web site, you will save a tremendous amount of money in future updates or changes to your project. For a simple database and quality CMS you should expect to pay $5,000. This will also include the design and implementation of your Web site. The more intricate your project mandates, the more costly the database. Further, there is no way to "copy" one database and use it for another project. Each database project, regardless of how similar, must be created new for each project. Send us your project requirements and allow us to bid today.
